Air Sealing
Your Garage Is a Heat Engine. Here's Why.
The shared wall between your attached garage and living space, plus the rim joist where the floor meets the foundation these are unsealed air pathways. On a Summer afternoon, you're not dealing with mild discomfort. You're dealing with physics.
Garage interior air
Shared wall (garage side)
Shared wall (house side)
Interior target
It's Not Your Fault. These Fixes Were Never Going to Work.
Weather stripping, fiberglass batts, fans every one of these addresses the symptom. None of them addresses the unsealed air pathway. That's why the room stayed hot.
Weather Stripping
Seals the door gap only. Does nothing for the shared wall cavity or rim joist where most of the heat transfer actually happens.
Fiberglass Batts
Slows conductive heat but doesn't seal. Air still moves freely through gaps at edges, seams, and penetrations. Sags and loses contact over time.
Fans & Ventilation
Moves hot air around. Doesn't stop the pathway. Your AC works harder chasing heat that keeps entering through an unsealed wall.
None of these failed because you chose wrong. They failed because they treat symptoms. The unsealed air pathway the rim joist, the shared wall cavity, the penetrations was always the root cause. Now you know exactly what to fix.
Why Full Stop Spray Foam Works When Nothing Else Does
Full Stop Spray Foam doesn't just insulate it seals. It expands on contact, conforming to irregular surfaces, wiring, pipes, and framing irregularities. One application. Permanent bond. No secondary air barrier required.
Full Stop Spray Foam
Seals AND insulates in a single application
Creates a continuous air barrier stops the pathway
Moisture-resistant does not absorb water or lose R-value
R-value 8.24 per kit outperforms batts inch for inch
Fiberglass Batts
Do NOT create an air seal air moves through and around them
Cannot conform to wiring, pipes, or uneven framing
Require precise cutting any gap is a thermal bridge
Real Homeowners. Measurable Results.
These aren't testimonials from professional contractors. These are homeowners who insulated their garage walls and saw the difference in comfort, energy savings, and peace of mind.
"My garage used to be unbearably hot in the summer, and that heat would seep into the house. After insulating the shared wall with FullStop, the difference was immediate. The garage stays cooler, and so does the room above it. My AC isn't running all day anymore."

Garage wall insulation
"I insulated my garage walls two years ago with fiberglass batts. They helped a little, but the real problem was all the gaps I couldn't seal. FullStop filled every crack and crevice in one pass. I should have started with this."
Jason T.
Charlotte, NC
Garage air sealing upgrade
"My wife complained the laundry room next to the garage was always too warm in summer. I insulated the shared garage wall on a Saturday. She noticed by Sunday. That's all the proof I needed."

Garage wall and air sealing
One Afternoon. Here's Exactly How It Goes.
A structured, step-by-step approach to sealing your garage once and for all.
1
Prep 30 minutes
Clear the area. Tape off any surfaces you don't want foam on electrical boxes, door frames. Warm the canisters to 70–80°F for optimal yield. Put on gloves, safety glasses, and the included respirator.
PPE INCLUDED IN KIT
2
Apply 45–90 minutes
Use the lift technique: apply in 1-inch lifts, let expand, then add the next layer. Don't try to fill in one pass the foam generates heat as it cures and thick single-pass applications can crack. Work rim joist first, then shared wall cavities.
1-INCH LIFTS PER PASS
3
Cure 24 hours
Foam reaches tack-free in about 60 seconds. Full structural cure is 24 hours but you're done working within a couple of hours. Ventilate the space during cure. Don't sand or trim until fully cured.
TACK-FREE IN ~60 SECONDS
4
Finish Optional trim
Once fully cured, trim any overfill flush with a serrated knife or saw. The surface can be painted or left as-is. If your local fire code requires it, cover foam-filled cavities with drywall.
CHECK LOCAL FIRE CODE
